As part of its work to support regional comprehensive centers, SRI leads the Multilingual Learner (ML) Work Group, which brings together staff from federally funded comprehensive centers who work with states around issues to support multilingual learners. The group members have facilitated state projects to design and implement Frameworks for ML success, they have collaborated on professional learning focused on high-quality instructional practices for MLs, and they have supported policy shifts toward the promotion of multilingualism and assets-based mindsets, among other projects.
